The story of Rene Strydom
This is the story of Rene Strydom and what she had to go through when her son at the age of 3 years old got diagnosed with diabetes.
My son Martin was only 3 years old when he was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, the doctors thought it was tonsillitis at first but it was later discovered that it was diabetes.
We rushed his straight to the hospital where he almost didn't make it, he was in the intensive care unit for four days.

I have introduced something new to this website, as I test my blood sugar levels throughout the day I will post them here on my website. And all of you can follow it, I will try my best to update it every day. My sugar levels are not as good as a healthy diabetics sugar levels should be.

I have a Accu-Chek Performa Nano, and today at work my blood glucose meter stopped working and I couldn’t test my sugar levels, my meter did not want to go on at all, it didn’t matter what I did the meter just didn’t respond.
